Squash Booking Rules

The Squash directors may make such decisions concerning the allocation of the courts as are considered to be in the best interest of the club and the game of squash.  They can also modify the booking rules to ensure fair usage of all courts.

A court may be booked up to a maximum of seven (7) days in advance.

A second court can be booked only after 8:00 a.m. on the day the match first booked is to be played.
Example: if you have a match at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday you can book a second court after 8:00 a.m. on that Tuesday.  This rule applies to prime time bookings only.

In addition to your prime time bookings you are allowed to book courts at non prime time.  Limit of one court per day, three courts per week for non prime time.

Prime Time:

Court 4, 5, 6   4:45 pm - 9:15 pm inclusive, Monday – Friday

Court 7, 8       5:00 pm - 9:00 pm inclusive, Monday – Friday

A court may also be booked on the same day as the match is to be played, regardless of
future bookings.  Example:  If today is Saturday and you have a court already booked for next Wednesday, you may still make a booking for a court on that same Saturday.  This rule is designed to re-book last minute cancellations and to allow people to take advantage of court cancellations on a day to day basis.

Booking rules apply to both people using the court.  Both players' I. D. numbers are required when booking courts.

These rules apply only to the Singles courts. The doubles court may be booked more than twice in one week, but no more than 7 days in advance.

Each member must adhere to the guest rules.  A guest must be identified as such when booking the court.

If a court is not claimed by the designated players 10 minutes after the starting time, the reservation is forfeited.  It takes two players to claim a singles court, three to claim a doubles court. Cancel bookings promptly when it is known in advance that you cannot make it.

All players are asked, for their own convenience, to confirm their booking before playing.

Juniors may obtain full playing privileges from the Manager or Squash Directors.

Members found abusing these rules stand to lose their playing privileges.

The operation of the squash ladder is the responsibility of the Squash Directors whose decision on matters affecting ladder play shall be final.

The squash directors may delegate all leagues and ladders to the squash pro. Directors will establish annually the playing privileges of junior members.

Beepers, Cellular phones or other items that may distract other players are not permitted on court. Turn them off before entering courts. $50.00 fine may be imposed for abuse of this rule.

All players must wear non-marking, clean, indoor court shoes while on court.

Shoe tags must be visible on the shoes that a member is wearing while on court or in the Fitness Area. Players may be requested to display their shoe tags if it’s not visible. Shoe tag replacement fee is $25.00 plus applicable taxes.
