RULE 11- GENERAL

11.01                       Locker Rooms - Members are to keep locker rooms and other areas of the Club as clean as possible and remove towels and other articles after play.

 

11.02                       Posters and Signs - No signs or posters shall be posted on any of the Bulletin Boards without the approval of the Executive Director.  No signs shall be posted on any other surface in the Club other than the Bulletin Board unless approved by the Executive Director.

 

11.03                       Lost and Found - All lost and found clothing will be stored outside the squash courts.  Any item of value such as wallets, watches, rings etc. will be kept in the office.  All property left in the Club which is not claimed by the owner within one month, shall be disposed of as the Executive Director sees fit.

 

11.04                       Smoking - Smoking in the club is not permitted.

 

11.05            Beepers, cellular phones or other items that distract other players are not permitted in the badminton hall, the Squash courts or in the Fitness Area.  Turn them off before entering.  $50.00 fine may be imposed for abuse of the rule.

 

11.06                       Shoe Tags - Shoe tags must be visible when players are on court or in the Fitness Area. Players may be requested to display their shoe tags if it's not visible.  Shoe tag replacement fee is $25.00 plus applicable taxes.

 

11.07                       Animal Policy - Pets will be permitted in the club only for medical or related reasons upon written approval by the Executive Director. All pets must be kept outside away from the front door and bar patio.

 

11.08            E-Mails/ Telephone Solicitation - The unauthorized use of member's e mail or telephone numbers as a form of mass communication considered to be annoying, harassing or solicitous in nature and undesired by the recipients is not permitted.
First offence: $100 fine.  

Second offence could lead to suspension of membership.

 

 

RULE 12- ACCESS AND SECURITY

12.01            All members must carry their valid door card to be entitled access into the Club.  The Club is patrolled by a night patrol service and any adult member on the premises must be able to produce their door card and shoe tag.  Shoe tag must be visible on the shoes that a member is wearing while on court or in the Fitness Area. All guests must be registered, and guest fees paid, prior to commencement of play.

 

12.02            Security can be hired for non-club events at the discretion of the Executive Director.

 

 

RULE 13- LIQUOR 

13.01            No liquor is permitted on the club premises except on written approval by the Executive Director, and special event permit is applied for and issued through the Liquor Distribution Branch.

 

13.02                       No minors are allowed in the bar area.

 

 

RULE 14- PARKING

14.01            Parking is permitted only in marked parking spots by members of the Club and their registered guests.  Cars parked in areas other than the allowed spots, or not displaying a VRC parking sticker, or not signed in the Guest Book shall be towed at owner's expense.

 

 

RULE 15- DRESS CODE 

15.01            Members are asked to dress appropriately and neatly in the spirit of badminton and squash sport.  In determining acceptable dress, good manners and good sportsmanship prevail, while neatness, tidiness and choice of colour are important considerations.  Wear light coloured clothes when possible.  In all cases, proper sports attire is required.

 

15.02                       All members and guests must wear non-marking, clean indoor court shoes while on court.  Clean indoor shoes are mandatory in the fitness area.  No street shoes are permitted in the fitness area.

 

 

RULE 16- FOOD

16.01                       It is not permitted to bring food into the club premises when the kitchen is open or when food service is reasonably available.
