Events: Open, B and Novice for all age groups U11, U13, U15 & U17

Criteria for entering the PCO Junior Event 2010

A LOOK AT THE CATEGORIES...
MAIN:
Players who have been playing for multiple years and have a full understanding of the rules and scoring.  Players can hit multiple shots including boasts, volleys, drops and whom can retrieve the ball out of the back corners on a regular basis.  These players have generally played tournaments in the past.

B:
Players who have a good understanding of scoring and can hit multiple shots including boasts, drops and who can retrieve many (but not all) balls from the back court.  B level players regularly get their serves in.  Main and B events are often combined and may be for this tournament.

NOVICE:
This event takes place on Saturday between 10am and 4pm and is for the beginner player.  Court time will be timed and will utilize no scoring.  The Novice category is non-competitive and is designed as a learning experience.  Novice players have limited playing experience and often need a scond attempt at serving.  2 serves will be permitted.

SCORING:
MAIN/B
 • Boys and Girls Under 19, 17 - PAR 11
 • Boys and Girls Under 15, 13, 11 - PAR 15
 • Dunlop 'double yellow dot' ball will be used

NOVICE
 • Timed Format
 • 2 serves each
 • Focus on FUN
 • NO scoring, NO rankings
 • Squash ball will be determined by event organizer

Entry includes:

Friday dinner and Saturday lunch, hors d'oeuvres on sunday at Prize Presentation, Vrroom all weekend, tournament T-shrit and prizes. Minimum of 3 matches Note:  Events may be combined Draws: available Wednesday, April 7th at VRC website
